Axillary Texts

As part of you project you need to create two Axillary texts to help market your group.  Below you will find a powerpoint which outlines the key conventions of dig packs, websites and magazine adverts.  It also has examples - you will need to download the ppt to make the hyperlinks works.  Please start planning your Axillary text.  You can do them as a group or as individuals but they need to clearly link to your music video and each other. There is an evaluation question based on this  -     How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?
You also need to start looking at examples once you have chosen which two you are going to make.  You should look at 'real' example and past student work.  Try to look at least 3 'real' and 3 student examples for each text you are going to do.

Evaluating Past Student Work

Remember that I want you to each look at and analysis three examples of past student work.  Look at the assessment criteria and consider how well they have done.  Talk about specific things, strengths and weaknesses.  Think about what mark you think they should get and what ideas you could use in your own project

Goodwin and Music Videos

In order to make the hyperlinks work you will need to download the ppt. Click on the 'in' icon in the bottom right hand corner which will take you to SlideShare where you can download it.
You need to read through the and then complete the activity on the sheet below - there should be A3 versions of this in the room.
